Director Yeon Sang-ho's latest film, '군체' (The Colony), starring Jun Ji-hyun and Koo Kyo-hwan, has achieved significant global momentum by securing pre-sales in 124 countries before its official release. The film, which depicts survivors trapped in a building facing an unidentified infection, has been officially invited to the Midnight Screening section of the 79th Cannes Film Festival. Following its world premiere at Cannes, the film is set for a domestic release in South Korea on May 21, marking the beginning of its sequential global rollout.
